Artifact sets are the heart of Olden Era's strategic depth. They don't just slightly boost a hero's stats like single artifacts — they radically transform your playstyle, unlock new tactics, and let you adapt to any situation. Collect a full set — and your hero gains unique abilities capable of turning the tide of an entire campaign!
What are sets and how to collect them?
The principle is simple and brilliant: the game features artifacts (if you don't know what they are — read here). Each artifact belongs to a specific set — an additional category. Some artifacts do not belong to any set.
How to see a set? After finding an artifact from a set, simply hover over it — the set name and all bonuses granted upon completion will be displayed.
How do set bonuses work?
- Minimal sets (2 artifacts): Equip both on the hero — an additional set bonus activates on top of the individual artifact effects.
- Expanded sets (up to 8 artifacts): Bonuses activate in stages — usually at 3, 5, and 8 items (numbers may vary).
- All bonuses stacking: They do not replace each other — when the full set is assembled, they work together, creating powerful synergy!
Why do sets change everything?
- Complete transformation of playstyle
Imagine Tranquil Glass — an artifact that fully restores the hero's mana every day. Perfect for magic-focused heroes with large mana pools: use powerful adventure spells to speed up the game pace or spend massive amounts of mana on devastating combat spells that were previously unaffordable. - Breakthrough in late game
After level 20, hero development slows down — each new level costs a fortune and gives minimal power growth. Sets allow you to break through these limits, massively amplifying the hero. They help catch up to a lagging opponent or solidify an advantage, making your army unstoppable.
Sets add variety and replayability, turning every game into a unique challenge.
